Drumsara

Pinot Gris

This wine is showing some definite flinty characteristics, quite typical of this region. The nose is nicely aromatic.  Clean, delicate and attractive on the nose, it shows fleshy peach and citrus notes up front. Very dry style that has good weight and even some subtle toffee notes.

Pinot Noir

On release this wine is a classic reflection of Drumsara Pinot Noir, showing dark and wild fruits of cherry, plum, blueberry and marama strawberry, with an underlying hint of spices -thyme, liquorice and vanilla. The palate abounds in deep fruits, supplemented by vanilla beans and dark chocolate. The fine grained tannins and lively acidity give the wine length aging potential.

Pinot Noir

A delightful, rich Pinot Noir with good weight and complexity.  The wine was made from a mixture of clones from a variety of flat and hillside vineyards from Marlborough and Nelson vineyards. Has good structure with mouth filling richness of berry fruits and smooth oak with a brilliant dark red cherry bouquet:

Bright, light straw-yellow colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is light with fresh aromas of white and yellow florals and stone fruits, along with subtle notes of pears, unfolding mineral suggestions. Dryish to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has delicate and nuanced flavours of white and yellow stone fruits, with floral fragrance and some pear elements. The fruit show on the front palate with moderate depth and refreshing acidity enlivening the mouthfeel. The wine flows along a light-textured line, leading to a lightly-nuanced finish. This is a light and delicate, dryish Pinot Gris with stone fruit, floral and pear flavours on a fresh palate.
